Manali- Sarchu - Keyong - Leh - Sangam - Khardungla - Nubra Valley - Pangong Lake - Leh - Sarchu - Manali
Day 01: Manali
up from Delhi by Luxury Volvo at evening and you would reach Manali the next
Day 02: Manali
Today, you would be picked up from bus stand. Check-in to hotel. Later you
can visit local attraction of Manali including Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Hot
Water Springs, Tibetan Monastery, Explore the Mall Road and let your body be
acclimatize according to the high altitude climate. Overnight in Manali
Day 03: Manali - Sarchu/Keylong
Today after breakfast, you would be driven to Keylong or Sarchu for night
stay. You would cross Rohtang Pass(13,050 ft), Kelong, Jispa, Darcha and
Baralacha Pass(16,050 ft).
Day 04: Sarchu - Leh
Breakfast, check out from the Hotel & drive to Leh. Drive through Nakeela &
Lachalung Pass (16,617 ft). Lunch at Pang & drive further towards Leh,
passing through Skyangchu Thang & Tanglang-La (17,585 ft). Check in to hotel
upon arrival. Overnight stay at Leh hotel.
Day 05: Leh - Sangam - Hall of Fame - Leh
Today after breakfast leave for half day excursion to Hall of Fame,
Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill & Sangam View where Indus & Zanskar
river meet. Afternoon you will come back to Leh hotel. In the evening enjoy
a sunset at Shanti Stupa.
Day 06: Leh - Khardungla Top - Nubra Valley
Today after an early breakfast you would be driven to Nubra Valley. Enroute
visit Khardung-la-pass, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380ft.
Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is
situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of
the Himalayas. Arrive at Hunder & check in at Hotel/Camps. Later visit
Diskit Village & enjoy the Camel ride on sand dunes. Dinner and overnight
stay at Hotel/Camp.
07 : Nubra Valley - Leh
Today after breakfast, drive to Leh after following the same route via
Khardung-la. Check in at Hotel upon arrival. At evening explore Leh market
for Shopping. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 Leh - Pangong Lake (ride 149 km)
The day 6 is scheduled for a visit to the Pangong Lake- the largest brackish
water lake in Asia. The 2/3rd of this gigantic high altitude lake lies in
China. We drive north from Leh and then turn left at Karu. The
well-maintained Kashmiri tarmac gives way to patchy surfaces and dirt.
You'll cross the Chang La (5500 meters) and descend to an army checkpoint at
Tangse. We ride along the lake for a while and spend the night at Pangong
Resort, a guest house run by the Ladakhi people.
Day 9: Pangong - Leh (ride 149 km)
Early morning, after breakfast, following a few quick walks alongside the
lake, you will point the bikes back towards Leh. It is a relaxing ride
today. Tonight is your last night in Leh so the rest of the evening is free
to explore bazaars and visit Shanti Stupa, a huge structure overlooking
Changspa. This stupa will let you a spent half an hour on the large terrace
below the Buddha. A fantastic view of the Indus Valley and the Zanskar range
will treat your eyes.
Day 10 : Leh - Sarchu (ride 215 km)
day 8 is scheduled for you to get back on the track that will lead you back
through the one that brought us in. During the journey, you will give Pang a
miss and ride slightly longer to spend the night at Sarchu, exactly halfway
between Manali and Leh. We camp out in the meadows, with a thick blanket of
stars to mask out the same fuzzy headache we encountered in Pang.
Day 11: Sarchu - Manali (ride 215 km)
In the morning, you may find us cranking our machines over a few times to
get the oil to warm up- an overnight frost may have turned all the
lubricants into chocolate syrup. You'll drive over the Sarchu plain and
enter Baralaccha plain at noon. A cheerful ride up the handsome Lahaul
ranges and it is time to face the great and wicked Rohtang Pass. Here we
ride down the pass through potholes and mini-rivers of mud (and fog if we're
lucky), through to our hotel in Manali for a good hot bath. Later, return
back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12 Manali
