Day 01 : Chandigarh to Manali (320 kms/ 9 hrs)
Pickup from Chandigarh Airport and drive to Manali crossing visit Mandi and
Kullu town. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 : Manali to Sarchu (222 km 9-10 hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Sarchu over Rohtang Pass (3980m) and
Baralacha La (4800m). On arrival check in camp. Rest of the day free.
Overnight in tent.
Day 03 : Sarchu to Leh (250 kms 10 hrs)
Morning after breakfast check out from the camp and drive to Leh over
Lachang La (5065 m) and Tanglang La (5360 m). On arrival check in at hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Leh - Lamayuru to
Kargil via Lamayuru visit to Drass (Approx 8 - 9 hrs)
After breakfast, proceed to Kargil. En route, enjoy the breath-taking
scenery from the view Point. Via Lamayuru (approx. 130 kms.) circuit, famous
for the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining 'Moonland'
features. After Visit the Mulbek Buddha Statue. After hotel check-in in
Kargil, visit the Kargil War memorial in Drass
It was in this very region in which the Indian Army fought
and won the famous war of Kargil. Take some memorable snaps of Tololing,
Tiger Hill and the war memorial.
Return to Kargil . Overnight stay in Kargil
Day 05 : Kargil to Leh via Alchi
After breakfast drive towards Leh, en route visiting the 11th century
Alchi oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh - a UNESCO listed
heritage site. Thereafter, visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar
Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of
Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Evening visit to Shanti Stupa
after sightseeing back to the Hotel, Overnight in hotel.
Day 06 : Leh to
Nubra via Khardungla Pass - Hunder ( Approx 4 - 5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley, also known as Valley of flowers via
Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the World, (18,380 ft).
Visit to Diskit Monastery after drive to Hunder. On your arrival in Hunder
check in the camp.
After enjoying lunch proceed to enjoy walk on the banks of Shayok river, you
can also enjoy a ride on double humped camel on the Sand Dunes between
Deskit & Hundur Village. Overnight stay in Hunder.
Day 07 : Hunder - Turtuk - Hunder ( Approx 3 - 4 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Turtuk (which is first time opened for the tourist
in 2010) which is a place Annexed by India only after the 1971 war, the
village of Turtuk is one of the only Balti villages in India and lies right
next to the LOC. The village with the whole population of muslims still
resembles mini Pakistan. The village inhabitants still use traditional
utensils which are crafted from stone. Explore the village of Turtuk the
village offers views of beautiful valley, part of Shyok Valley. On clear
days you can have glimpse of K2 mountain peak located across the border in
Pakistan. Though a muslim village, there are few gompas located on the
plateau above Shyok River and there is a old royal house to see in village.
Return to Hundar by the evening.
Overnight stay in Camp , Hunder
Day 08 : Hunder - Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok ( Approx 4 -
After breakfast at hotel we drive to next destination pangong lake via Shyok
and onto Tang Tse and Spangmik ( Pangong). It's a short cut and it's a
beautiful route. The road follows the Shyok river, and climbs up a mountain
before finally descending into Shayok village. It took us less than an hour
to reach Shayok, and we were delighted at the sight of the rather big
village surrounded by barren mountains, the entire setting being very
picturesque. Afternoon we reach at Pangong lake and enjoy your day at
pangong lake. Overnight stay at camp.
Day 09 : Pangong Lake - Leh (Approx 6 hrs) via Changla Pass - Hemis
After breakfast, leave Pangong Lake, Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu,
drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, biggest
monastery of Ladakh. Later drive on to Leh, enroute visiting the picturesque
Thiksey monastery. Shey Palace, 3Idiot School and after sightseeing check in
Hotel and overnight in hotel
Day 10 : Leh Rest
Full Day Rest in Hotel and Shopping. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 :- Departure Leh
Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home.
